Wallet Cleaning Guide
The leather wallet is an accessory that we use daily, and besides its practical use, it offers prestige and elegance to its owner. However, it is exposed to dust, dirt, and wear. To keep your wallet in good condition, cleaning it is vital. By following the steps below, you will make your leather wallet look like new!

How to clean a leather wallet:
1. Remove all items from the interior
Before starting to clean the wallet, make sure you have removed all items from the interior. Banknotes, cards, coins, photos, and other items stored in visible and hidden compartments of the wallet must be removed so as not to be damaged during cleaning.
2. Remove dust and dirt from the wallet
Remove dust and other types of dirt that have accumulated on the surface of the leather. For this process, you can use a clean cloth or a piece of denim fabric.
3. Clean with a special leather cleaner
Leather is sensitive to harsh detergents and water, so use a commercially available specialized leather cleaner. Use a soft cloth and soak it with the leather cleaning solution. To ensure the solution is suitable for your wallet's leather, test it on a small, inconspicuous area of the wallet, and then use it on the entire wallet. Wipe the wallet with the cloth, using gentle circular motions. In areas with intense stains, you will need to persist longer. For corners, you can use a cotton swab. Avoid vigorous movements, as there is a risk of damaging the leather.
If you do not have a specialized cleaner, you can use a drop of mild soap.

4. Remove the liquid from the wallet.
After cleaning the wallet, use a clean cloth to remove the liquid from its surfaces. Be meticulous in this process, as if liquid remains on the wallet, it can damage the leather.
5. Allow the wallet to dry
Even if you wipe the wallet well, moisture will take longer to leave. Allow it to air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight or heating sources. Do not use a hairdryer or other devices to accelerate drying. If possible, allow it to dry for at least eight hours.
6. Use a suitable moisturizing product for leather
Once the wallet is completely dry, gently apply a specialized moisturizing solution for leather across the entire surface of the wallet. This will help keep the leather hydrated and flexible, offering it greater durability and an elegant look. Apply the cleaning product to a cloth and spread it in gentle circular motions.

How to maintain a leather wallet?
In addition to cleaning the wallet, you must pay great attention to its maintenance to prevent the leather from being damaged and to keep it looking new.
- Do not leave the leather wallet near heat sources and do not expose it directly to sunlight.
- If the wallet gets wet, it must dry quickly. Remove moisture with a cloth and then allow it to dry naturally, without using sunlight or heating sources.
- Do not overstuff the wallet. Especially large volume items can deform the wallet and change its shape permanently.
- Do not use bleach, gasoline, or other harsh detergents to clean the wallet, as these will corrode its leather.
