How to clean, disinfect, and remove stubborn stains from your phone case:

Cleaning phone case with dish detergent

Step 1: In a bowl, add 250 ml of water and 1-2 drops of dish detergent.

Step 2: Dip a toothbrush—which you can use regularly for this purpose—into the bowl with the mixture and scrub every part of your case well with circular motions.

Step 3: Rinse the case thoroughly, remove the soap residue, and let it dry. Use a clean cloth to wipe it, and once enough time has passed and you are sure it hasn't retained any moisture, you can reinsert your phone.

Disinfecting phone case

Step 1: Obtain a specialized disinfectant or a mild antiseptic liquid and place a few drops of the liquid on a cloth, then wipe the entire surface of the case to free it from germs. If you choose alcohol wipes, you can use them directly on the case, just as you can do with a cleaning spray by spraying the case.

Step 2: Wipe the case with a cloth to remove the disinfectant liquid. Once it has dried completely for at least an hour, you can reinsert your phone. Disinfection is important to do at least once a month.

Removing stubborn stains from the phone case

Step 1: Apply baking soda onto the stain to cover the entire area the stain occupies.

Step 2: Scrub the stain with a clean toothbrush

Step 3: Use clean water to rinse off the stain and the baking soda, and wipe with a clean cloth. Once it has dried completely for at least an hour, you can reinsert your phone.

How to clean the phone case, depending on the case's material

Silicone and rubber phone cases

Cases made from these materials may offer a firmer grip, but they get dirty easily and cleaning them is quite difficult, as they are porous materials that absorb stains. To clean such a case you will need dish soap, baking soda, water, and a sponge or cloth or toothbrush.

Soak the sponge in the bowl with water and dish liquid, and then scrub the case well. In areas with stubborn stains, you can apply baking soda and scrub with the toothbrush. After five minutes, rinse with a clean cloth. Once half an hour has passed and you are sure the case has dried, you can reinsert your phone.

Wooden phone cases

Wooden cases are a very stylish and distinctive choice, but we need to pay extreme attention to cleaning them, as using a large amount of liquids or harsh detergents can shrink or swell the wood or even damage its finish. To clean such a case, you will need vinegar, water, dish liquid, and a cloth.

If you have a spray bottle, add vinegar, water, and one drop of dish liquid to the bottle and spray onto the case. If you do not have a bottle, be sure to soak a cloth in a bowl with the mixture above, and after wringing it well to remove excess water, wipe the case and immediately wipe again with another dry cloth or a paper towel after each pass. Under no circumstances should you submerge the case in the bowl with the mixture!

Leather phone cases

Whether you have a case made of natural leather or one made of synthetic leather, you should know that it requires very careful cleaning, as these materials are sensitive and you cannot use harsh cleaners. The ideal solution is to choose a special detergent for leather. We will recommend a mixture of water and hand soap, which can work wonders with patience.

Soak a cloth in a bowl with water and hand soap, and after wringing it well to remove most of the water, wipe the case and then dry it with a clean cloth or a paper towel. Repeat the process as many times as necessary. For a nicer result, you can add leather conditioner or mink oil at the end.

How to clean a phone case that has turned yellow?

Transparent phone cases are extremely popular, as they give the phone style and allow you to show the color of the back. However, everyone faces the same problem with these cases! Due to UV light and fat or sweat from the hands, the cases turn yellow, causing them to lose their shine and beauty. To "de-yellow" your case you can use four different materials:

1. Clothing Bleach

Add the bleach powder to a little water and mix to create a paste. Then spread the paste over the entire surface of the case. Let it act for about 15 to 20 minutes and rinse with clean water.

2. Dish Soap

Make some warm soapy water and scrub the case with a toothbrush, then rinse with clean water. Repeat the process until the case shines!

3. Baking Soda

Sprinkle the baking soda powder over the entire case, placing even greater emphasis on the yellow stains. Wet a toothbrush and use it to scrub the case until foam is created. Do not use too much water. If the problem persists, submerge the case in the soda for 10 minutes and then wipe with a damp cloth.

4. Alcohol

Add the alcohol to a paper towel or a damp cleaning cloth and rub the case. Do not apply the alcohol directly to the case, as it may damage the silicone.
