Handmade Carpet Emper'S Gard Wool 6780 Beige-Ciel

The history of Aubusson carpets dates back to the Renaissance period. The first looms were probably created in the town of Aubusson in central France by Flemish refugees, and carpet production did not begin until the 16th century. The Aubusson rug continued, although the original pattern evolved into modern colors and many other traditional designs. You can spot French Art Deco or Persian touches in the modern Aubusson rug. Aubusson rugs were and are quite expensive due to being high quality, hand made but durable enough to be used every day. Chinese workshops are popular for using Chinese wool in the manufacture of Aubusson carpets and exporting them to various countries, where the popularity of the name continues. Today, therefore, it is still possible to enjoy these carpets, at affordable prices for the general public. Owning an Aubusson still remains a symbol of prestige and expertise.
